We keep a record of all funds raised and donations made. Here you can find details of past editions, the amounts raised, the charity we donated to, and proof of each donation.

Every single donation goes to local charities. The people behind the project are volunteers, the books are donated, and the wrapping and promo materials are things we already have (recycled paper bags, for example). We keep no part of the money.

We're a group of friends in Burgas with a lot of enthusiasm for making fun things happen. We run Runa’s Book Club in our spare time. You can learn more about us here.

Not yet. We plan to register once the project grows and we have a sponsor to help with the costs of registering and running a charity.

Secondhand books across many genres, wrapped so the title is hidden. Each one has a few words describing only its genre and vibe. For the curious, here are some of the surprise books that have already found a new home through the initiative: "Atomic Habits" by James Clear, "The Physics of Sorrow" by Georgi Gospodinov, "The Wedding People" by Alison Espach, "Be Water, My Friend" by Shannon Lee. We always have a mix of genres and themes. :)

Our only requirements: books that are intact, in good condition, modern, and in Bulgarian or English. The kind you'd be happy to unwrap yourself. :)
